Description:Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games. Its history can be traced back nearly 5,000 years to archeological discoveries in the Middle East, specifically in Mesopotamia (ancient Sumer). It is a two player game where each player has fifteen pieces (checkers) which move between twenty-four triangles (points) according to the roll of two dice. The objective of the game is to be first to bear off, i.e. move all fifteen checkers off the board.
HOW TO PLAY:In "Backgammon", the objective is to move all your checkers onto your inner board and then remove them before your opponent. Each player rolls two dice and moves their pieces according to the number obtained. You can block your opponent's advance by occupying spaces with two or more of your pieces, and you can capture their pieces if they are alone on a square. The first player to remove all his chips wins the game. It is a game of strategy and luck ideal for two players.
